Research Center of Chinese Local Government Innovations at Jilin University

The Research Center of Chinese Local Government Innovation at Jilin University was founded in October 2011, with joint efforts from Jilin University and the Compilation and Translation Bureau of the CPC Central Committee. The center is one of the key research bases of philosophy and social sciences in Jilin Province. As one constituent of the Collaborative Network of Chinese Local Government Innovation Research Centers, with all the domestic and international social resources, the center aims to cooperate thoroughly with the Compilation and Translation Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, the Organizing Committee of Chinese Local Government Innovation Award, local governments of Northeast region, and domestic and international related research institutes, to study, summarize, evaluate, publicize and promote the innovative practices of Northeast local governments about political reform, administrative reform, public service, social management, etc. The center intends to create an active, mutual-trusting, and comprehensive reforming environment; rooted in the Chinese context, to develop the theories and countermeasures of “ Good Governance” for local governments; and to construct a platform of interactive cooperation for local governments, the academia and the society to present innovation achievements and conduct academic exchanges.
